When you’re ready, you can schedule a free 20-minute consultation through my secure booking system. This call gives us a chance to connect face-to-face (virtually), talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, and see if we’re a good fit.
It’s a no-pressure way to ask questions and learn more about counselling with a Neurodivergent Black therapist who offers virtual sessions across Ontario.

During the consult, we’ll talk about your goals, needs, and what you’re looking for in therapy. I’ll share more about how I work - using evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, and ACT - while keeping sessions supportive, culturally sensitive, and tailored to you. I’ll also go over practical details like session fees and scheduling.
By the end, you’ll have a clear idea of whether starting therapy with Balens Therapy feels right for you.

Following the consult, we’ll have a basic idea of what you’re looking for. During our first session, we will go a bit deeper.
This step makes sure we’re aligned on confidentiality, boundaries, and your goals for therapy. It also helps me get a deeper sense of what you’re navigating - whether it’s anxiety, depression, burnout, or relationship stress - so we can hit the ground running.

We’ll create a rhythm that works for you, whether that’s weekly, biweekly, or more flexible. Our virtual counselling sessions are available anywhere in Ontario, and are designed to give you a safe, supportive space to process, heal, and grow. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling heard, respected, and empowered.
In therapy, we’ll work together to untangle the challenges you’ve been carrying. My role is to support you in shifting patterns and beliefs that may no longer serve you, so you can step into a life that feels calmer, healthier, and more aligned with who you want to be.
