Discover Nature-Informed Therapy

| Neurodivergent Registered Nurse-Led Mental Health Therapy | ADHD, Burnout, Stress, Anxiety, Depression, PPPD | Virtual Therapy in Ontario | Vaughan, Toronto, Brampton, Mississauga, Scarborough & the surrounding GTA

At Balens Therapy, we blend evidence-based care with a gentle, nature-informed approach for those who are curious.

Sometimes that means using houseplants as tools for mindfulness, grounding, or emotional regulation. Simple rituals like watering, repotting, or observing growth can help you slow down and reconnect.

This is always optional, collaborative, and shaped by your goals. Whether you prefer a traditional therapeutic path or want to explore something rooted in nature, we’ll co-create a space that supports your growth in the way that feels right for you.

How We Work Together

Silhouette of a monstera leaf on a black background.
Edna Bonsu, Registered Nurse Psychotherapist. A woman sitting on a brown leather couch, talking on her cell phone, taking notes with a pen at a small table, with a colorful floral laptop in front of her, in a room with brick walls and large windows.

Our therapy blends:

  • CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy): Shifting unhelpful thought patterns.

  • DBT & ACT: Build skills for emotional balance and acceptance.

  • Trauma-Informed Care: Safety, choice, and empowerment always come first.

  • Nature-Inspired Practices: Grounding with plants, mindfulness, and natural cycles to reconnect mind and body.

Sessions are virtual, starting at 50 minutes, and tailored to your goals. Frequency can be weekly, biweekly, or flexible depending on your needs.

We believe in a team-based approach. With our PPPD clients, while we don’t provide vestibular rehab directly, we collaborate with physiotherapists, family physicians, and other specialists. If medication is part of your care, we’ll support you in advocating with your doctor and managing the process.
