What is Nature-Informed Therapy?
At Balens Therapy, we believe healing can happen through reconnection with yourself, your environment, and what helps you feel grounded. Thatβs why we offer a nature-informed approach for those who are curious, incorporating the calming and restorative benefits of plant care into therapy when it aligns with your needs and goals.
This might look like using houseplants as tools for mindfulness, emotional regulation, or self-connection. For some, tending to plants, watering, repotting, or simply observing their growth, can become a powerful ritual for slowing down and cultivating presence.
Inspired by horticultural and eco-therapy principles, this approach is optional and always collaborative. While Edna is not a certified horticultural therapist, her training as a Registered Nurse Psychotherapist and her passion for plant care offer a thoughtful and holistic lens to your healing journey.
Not all sessions include nature-based elements. Whether youβre drawn to a more traditional therapeutic path or want to explore something rooted in your connection to nature, weβll co-create a space that supports your growth, your way.
